ReTown President and Managing Director Jim Louthen worked in partnership with the Village of Mundelein to develop a concept plan for a series of development teams, and managed the process on behalf of the Village. The transit-oriented development plan, which includes a 24-acre planned unit development that will become Mundelein’s new Downtown, centers on an urban greenspace. The plan promotes a progressive concept of a dense, urban, mixed-use development, and prominently situates the new government center on the axis with the town green and the train station. The site includes a diverse urban neighborhood including high-density luxury condominiums, apartments, and town homes. The Village has constructed its new City Hall as the anchor and first phase of this multi-year development.
